About

Yoyo Cao, better known as @yoyokulala, is one of Singapore’s most internationally recognised social media personalities. Within a short span of three years, her ability to effortlessly remix current trends with her distinctive borrowed-from-the-boys flair has catapulted her to the forefront of the international street style circuit, earning her multiple mentions on Vogue.com, a spot on Harper’s Bazaar’s “ones to watch in 2016” list and two “Golden Peacock” awards by New York Magazine’s The Cut. Features in various editions of Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar have also placed her on the international radar, winning her the seal of approval from highly sought-after fashion authorities. In August 2016, Yoyo became an Elle Singapore cover girl and the first local digital influencer to front a major fashion magazine in Singapore.

While she is widely known for her vivid style choices, her innate creativity and natural editorial flair have caught the eye of high fashion labels like Chanel, Gucci, Fendi, Dior and Louis Vuitton. Yoyo has been roped in for event appearances, appointed as an ambassador, conducted styling sessions and fronted social media campaigns for various brands. Her Instagram page @yoyokulala is increasingly coveted by a fast expanding clientele that includes Chaumet, Bulgari, Mont Blanc, Tiffany & Co., The Hourglass, SK-II, DFS Galleria, Coach, Roger Vivier, Repetto, Tommy Hilfiger, Tod’s, Revolve and Net-a-Porter, in addition to the aforementioned labels. Yoyo is also part of the style council on Net-a-Porter’s The Net Set, heading the “Fashion Week Insider” tribe.

Her talent in creating stunning aesthetics also extends to her clothing label Exhibit. Launched first in 2010, Yoyo debuted Exhibit’s first runway collection at Singapore Fashion Week 2014 in collaboration with Charles & Keith. The Fall/Winter 2016 collection, unveiled in October 2016, is Exhibit’s fourth to date. In addition to her design duties, Yoyo also assumes the role of photographer for Exhibit’s campaigns and lookbooks.

In May 2016, Yoyo launched YOYOKULALA.com. More than just a platform to give readers a wider glimpse into her world, the website – named after her moniker – will also be dedicated to providing light-hearted commentaries on all things fashion, beauty, culture and lifestyle. Think of it as a guide of sorts as Yoyo and her team give their take on the perils and triumphs of this thing we call life.
