Some of it are brand new releases, others are cult classics. Finding the best products that work for you is all about trial and error, and we’re here to quicken the process and lessen the pain. And if you have any doubts, cast your worries aside – all of the recommendations have been tried and tested by yours truly. Onward to Episode 6 of our “Best of Beauty” series! (We’d love to hear about YOUR all-time favourite beauty products too – just leave in the comments below.)
Violet Voss Holy Grail Eyeshadow Palette
Chock-full of the season’s most-wanted eyeshadow colours from burgundy to orange-copper, this outrageously popular palette is so easy to blend with excellent pigmentation. We suppose it was named “Holy Grail” for a reason. This indie palette – so indie that the Violet Voss website doesn’t even have a proper studio shot of it – is completely sold out at present, but the Drenched Metal Eyeshadow Palette is still up for grabs here.
Natasha Denona Face Glow Cream Shimmer
The way we see it, you can never have too many highlighters and bronzers. A favourite among the beauty YouTubers of the world, this shimmer stick by Natasha Denona is easy to use and gives a natural-looking glow. It is good for days when you want to highlight your face without piling on the products. The packaging’s pretty, too. You can shop it online here.
Stila Colour Balm Lipstick in Valentina
We’re really into orangey tones at the moment and Valentina has the right amount of red and orange without being too intense. Plus, if you don’t already know by now – Stila’s products are known for their staying power. The Colour Balm Lipstick is no exception.
Urban Decay All Nighter Long Lasting Makeup Setting Spray
This may possibly be the best makeup setting spray we’ve ever used. Not only does it do the job of keeping everything in place for hours, it is also refreshingly light and hydrating on the skin.
Muji Styrene Foldable Mirror Triple
Yes, yes, we know it isn’t exactly a beauty product, but you can’t apply makeup without a good mirror, so this is totally relevant. Not only does this find from Muji allow you to go hands-free, you get an almost all-rounded view of your face at once. It’s like a mini vanity mirror without the vanity table. You can get it in Muji stores or online here.
