The Red Carpet Beauty Looks At The Golden Globes Were Legit

Lily Collins! Emma Stone! Kerry Washington! Everyone's talking about the dresses, but we just can't stop looking at the faces.

Award season is here! So many things about last night’s Golden Globes to talk about! Meryl Streep’s speech! The Gosling-Stone double La La Land win! Emma Watson singing “Belle” from Beauty & The Beast! So many highs and lows. But the one thing that we can’t shut up about, though? THE RED CARPET BEAUTY.

Everyone likes to talk about the dresses, and while there were many amazing dresses – we honestly don’t think anyone deserves the title of “worst dressed” this year – the attention paid neck-up demands proper mention. Sure, the usual no-makeup-makeup sitch and the dark smokey eyes were there as per the norm, but there was also so much more.

Brie Larson, Priyanka Chopra and Kerry Washington are living proof that a dark lip is all you need to shut the red carpet down. Even better if the lip matches the colour of your dress, eh Brie? Emma Stone, Nicole Kidman and Felicity Jones say “yes” to the party eye: plenty of frosty, ultra-sparkly eyeshadow on the lids and the under-eye.

Finally, we have Olivia Culpo, Lily Collins and Emily Ratajowski on Team Jewel Tone Eyes. Looks like last year’s top beauty trend is here to stay for just a bit longer. Collins goes for a soft, petal pink with old Hollywood red lips, while Culpo picks the perfect shade of nude-pink to match her similarly coloured eyes. Two beautiful actresses, two incredible looks. We can’t decide which one we like more. Tell us – Culpo or Collins?
