The Best of Beauty: November Beauty Favourites

With November coming to a close, it is time for us to look back at the products that won our hearts this month, from a powerful lip pigment to a game-changing mask.

Did you miss our “Best of Beauty” series? Yes, it’s been way too long. Instead of going back to what we did before – because really, there just is too many good things we’re discovering each month to lump into one general “best of beauty” – we’re switching things up from this month on. Read: categories. Whether it is new discoveries that we can’t stop using, old favourites that we’ve emptied repeatedly or an entire plethora of lipsticks we’ve discovered in the span of weeks. Whatever it is, we guarantee one thing – if it will make the list only of it’s good.

We don’t know about you, but our November’s been one hectic month. Everyone’s prepping for Christmas and some of the festivities have already commenced. Travelling, events and alcohol, a surefire way to get your skin riled up. Thankfully, the new products we bought last month really helped our skin hold up, which also means that our makeup stays looking bomb.

Before you dive head first into a pool of warm peppermint mochas and last-minute shopping, we’ve got a couple of our favourite skincare and makeup that will definitely be in our beauty routine in the coming months. So, add these to cart, even though Black Friday’s over, because these are definitely worth a spot.

NARS Powermatte Lip Pigment

You know you’ve found the one when you’re constantly carrying it around in your purse. Launched a couple months back, this liquid matte lipstick is long wearing and comfortable, perfect for parties and long nights. It’s also ultra pigmented and doesn’t require much product for full impact. Read our full review here.

Allies Of Skin Promise Keeper™ Blemish Facial

The only reason why our skin isn’t breaking out during this month’s “that time of the month” is because of this little tube of wonder here. Packed with hydrating ingredients, good-for-you acids and antibacterial enzymes, this nightly leave-on mask is now a holy grail for us.

Caudalie Vinosource Overnight Recovery Oil

If you haven’t jumped onto the face oil bandwagon, it’s high time you should. Every night before bed, we like to apply this to our face and our neck, kind of like a little spa session. It’s soothing and relaxing, something that we need after a day’s worth of smiling and talking. And really – if your skin is dry as a bone in the winter air and nothing seems to work, look to oils. We just so happen to have a list for every skin type here.

By Terry Rose de Baume

If you haven’t noticed, we’re a big fan of rose-infused products and all the good things it does for our skin. This balm, which works more like a lip mask that you can wear on the go, is super hydrating, does wonders in keeping our lips from cracking and smells amazing, too. It feels like a protective film over your lips, almost. If you’re travelling out this festive season, make sure to pack this in your carry-on bag.

Burberry Beauty Fresh Glow Luminous Fluid Base

Yes, Burberry makes primers and they’re great. While the Korean 10-step beauty routine gives you glowing skin, it also takes a lot of time. Burberry’s Luminous Fluid Base gives a glow-from-within finish without drying out the skin. It slides on beautifully, too, and holds makeup for a reasonable length of time for both oily and dry skin. Don’t be fooled by its packaging – there really is a lot of primer in one bottle, it’s just the cap is hiding all the good stuff.
