For A Glow That Will Take You From Day To Night

One reader is placing all her bets on Burberry Beauty's Fresh Glow Fluid and Gold Glow Luminising Powder. Here's all her reasons why.

Welcome to KULALA Beauty Club, where YOU our dear readers help us suss out the best in the beautysphere. This week, we have Weeting (@weeting.c) and her review of Burberry Beauty’s Fresh Glow Fluid (and a bonus Gold Glow Luminising Powder). For Weeting, it’s a constant struggle between indulging in delicious sinful food and trying to fit into her clothes.

Imagine my joy when I received the products in their festive gold theme. It is a plus point for me when products come in pretty packaging. I was so excited to try out the products and they certainly do not disappoint.

After my usual skincare and sunblock, I applied the Burberry Fresh Glow Fluid (shop it here) with my fingers. The fluid base glides on easily, but I prefer using my fingers for this instead of other applicators due to its watery texture. I am impressed at how moist the base is yet with no sticky and greasy residue afterwards. It is very hydrating, resulting in less tightness on my skin and my foundation looking more enhanced and radiant.

There is a downside, however, and it is its minimal coverage. I won’t wear this on its own. If you have blemish-free skin, go ahead and wear it on days when you are going for a natural look. It also can accumulate quite a bit of shine at the end of the day, but a light dabbing of tissue on the skin and viola – fresh and ready to go again.

All that aside, I like how the glow lasted the whole day and I really adore the sheen on my cheekbones when the sunlight hits. So yeap, it works well as a primer and a highlighter. I am making this an official part of my daily makeup routine (who doesn’t love a glow?) and do see myself using it for every occasion.

Moving on to the Gold Glow Luminising Powder (shop it here), I found the embossed bow pattern and the infused My Burberry scent to be nice surprises. The colour is more concentrated and intense on my skin, so I will use this for a night out. It has more shimmery particles as compared to the Fresh Glow Fluid, thus making it a better option for a heavier look. The powder stays on well and I still look the same after an entire night.
