These Are Basically Selfie Filters In A Bottle

Dior's Capture Totale promises your "dream skin" in under a minute. We got KULALA Beauty Clubber Kris to test if the skincare series lives up to its name.

Welcome to KULALA Beauty Club, where YOU our dear readers help us suss out the best in the beautysphere. This week, we have Kris (@sfc_rp) and her review of the latest in the Dior Capture Totale Dream Skin collection. Kris is an IT specialist by day and a shoe and bag addict with an extremely weak resistance to beautifully packaged makeup and skincare products by night.

Dior Capture Totale Dream Skin is the newest addition to the renowned Capture Totale collection. The first thing that caught my attention was “Dream Skin”. Will these give me my dream skin?

The Global Age-Defying Skincare Perfect Skin Creator is said to instantly infuse skin with great perfection, correction and comfort, minimising spots, redness and tighten pores while improving skin texture over time with age-defying and skin-perfecting stem cells.

What I love about this serum is its texture. The pale pink lotion feels incredibly silky on the skin, leaving a subtle floral scent that stays on for hours. I use one pump of it as a primer in the morning after my usual skincare routine and right before the sunblock. The serum sinks in immediately into my skin, giving a slight matte feel. It also does the job in making my pores look smaller and giving me a pinkish glow. At night, I use it as the last step in my skincare routine. I find that my skin is less oily the next morning.

Being a mask junkie, masking is a big part of my daily skincare routine. However, lazy days are inevitable. For those, the 1-Minute Mask Youth Perfecting Mask New Skin Effect sounds like the perfect replacement for my 20-minute sheet mask routine.

Featuring a new generation of micro-pearls to diffuse and reflect light, the mask also has AHA and glycolic acid to gently exfoliate the skin. It is apparently effective for all skin types and tones and at any age and suitable for use up to three times a week.

The mask starts out with a rosy gel texture that turns into a luscious white cream upon massaging it into my skin. Just one pump is more than enough to do the job. After leaving it on for just one minute and rinsing it off, I noticed an instant brightening effect on my skin. My skin also felt smoother. However, the mask did not have an immediate effect on the uneven skin tone. Perhaps that will reveal itself in time! Until then!
