This Bronzer-Meets-Highlighter Could Give You The Best Contour Ever

Our reader Alverina (@aloebella) certainly thinks so – and it's so easy to use, too. Here's what she has to say about it.

Welcome to KULALA Beauty Club, where YOU our dear readers help us suss out the best in the beautysphere. This week, we brought back Alverina (@aloebella) to review Dior Beauty’s Nude Air Luminizer and Extreme Perfection Makeup Base. Read her last review here.

Dior Beauty is one of my favourites when it comes to beauty products, so I am pretty familiar with their formulas. Hence, I am really excited to be reviewing these two products today!

As the Dior Nude Air Luminizer (004) is a little darker than my skin tone, I have been using it as a contouring powder. Though this luminizer is meant to be use as a highlighter, it still works perfectly well for me. In fact, I really love the results of how I use it as a contouring highlighter. It really gives off a three-dimensional look to your face, making you look slimmer on photos and at the same time it gives you the luminous glow you need on your cheeks. I’m going so far as to say that this Dior Nude Air Luminizer has allowed me to achieve one of my best makeup looks – and yes, the praises and compliments did come!

Foundation cushions and primers are usually my kind of base makeup. The Diorskin Extreme Perfection Makeup Base seems to be a mix of the two. Its liquid formula gives a slight coverage, leaving your skin smooth and even with the look of pores minimised. It can be a little greasy for those with oily or combination skin, so if that’s you, I would recommend skipping the moisturiser or putting on an oil-control primer before using this.

The base lasts for a pretty good three to four hours before my skin starts to look oily. I’ve found that patting on some loose powder just before heading out helps to extend my makeup’s wear to about six to eight hours. You may need to try it out several times with different configurations to see what works best for your skin. For those with dry to normal skin and prefer liquid primers though, I would definitely recommend this to you!
