Welcome to KULALA Beauty Club, where YOU our dear readers help us suss out the best in the beautysphere. This week, we have Naomi Tham (@naomitham_) and her review of the Dior Eye Reviver and All-In-Brow 3D. Read her last review here.
Being freshly introduced to the Dior Makeup line, I didn’t really know what to expect from it, so you can imagine my delight when I opened the silver boxes that revealed little black velour pouches. Really luxurious packaging that I love, by the way.
The Dior Eye Reviver comes with a base primer, four essential neutral shadows in shimmer finishes and a gel eyeliner to help complete the look. I didn’t really expect much colour payoff, but the swatches of the colours proved me wrong. They feel creamy and buttery to the touch and pack on best with your fingers. The gel liner is also pretty good, because it goes on pretty smoothly and doesn’t smudge easily once it dries down completely.
When applied to the eyes, it forms a nice neutral eye for an everyday look and is easy to pack on for a smokey eye when I’m headed out with the girls. While the colours don’t exactly take my breath away, I do think that the Dior Eye Reviver has a spot in my makeup bag and is really handy for whenever I’m on the go. I do wish, however, that the shadows included a matte shade for blending as I’m big on the strong all-over shimmer look. With that being said, it’s still pretty wearable, and the inclusion of eyeliner makes it a really handy and convenient product to bring around.
The Dior All-In-Brow 3D definitely does encompass everything you’d need for a perfect natural brow. It comes with two brow colours – light and dark – and a brow wax as well. I love that they included a spoolie and two angled brushes inside the little compact kit, because it makes touch ups SO much easier.
The two brow colours prove to be essentials in creating a gradient brow effect while the fixing wax helps to keep my brow hairs nicely in place for the whole day. The powders are buildable (not super pigmented that would cause panic once applied) and the colour really complements my now dark brownish hair colour. I do recommend this product if you want to try a soft natural brow effect instead of the sharp defined brows you get with a brow pencil.
If you’re a fan of natural eye looks, I think you’d really enjoy these compact eye products from the Dior line. Not forgetting to mention that the luxurious packaging are a nice touch and is definitely an added plus point.
