Is It Possible For One To Achieve Instant Glow In 30 Seconds?

Fresh makes some AMAZING masks, but can an almost instant foaming facial – just add water! – match up? Our reader Xue puts it to the test!

Welcome to KULALA Beauty Club, where YOU our dear readers help us suss out the best in the beautysphere. This week, we brought back Xue (@grumpymeg) to review the Fresh Beauty Vitamin Nectar series. Read her last review here.

My KULALA beauty pack this time round unwrapped to some very familiar packaging – the Vitamin C Glow Powder and Antioxidant Glow Water from Fresh’s Vitamin Nectar series. Hit me with that glow!

The Antioxidant Glow Water is a face mist which promises to deliver nutrients and hydrate your skin, refreshing and revitalising dull skin. There’s a bottle of this in my office which everyone uses as a perk-me-up throughout the day, especially since we’re subjected to air-condition for long hours. So while I can’t confirm its antioxidant effect, I can say for sure that if I were to purchase a facial mist, this would be it. The glow water also has a really pleasant, light citrusy scent. It dispenses the product really evenly and finely, and that is a really important factor (for me, at least) which is somewhat of a rarity amongst face mists.

While I’m familiar with the Antioxidant Glow Water, the Vitamin C Glow Powder Foaming Facial is a new product I tried before. It comes in a box of 12 sachets, and the application method is pretty much the same as those pore cleansing powders: pour one sachet of powder into your hand with one teaspoon of water and work mixture into a foamy lather, then massage the foam onto your skin for 30 seconds.

The powder itself feels gritty and resembles sherbet powder candy, with the same citrusy scent as the glow water. While massaging the foam onto my skin, I felt a tingling effect as with most vitamin C skincare products. I really like how my skin felt nicely cleansed without the tight, drying feeling afterwards, and after two uses (in conjunction with the glow water) I actually notice my complexion being brighter!

Have the products been life-changing? I wouldn’t say that, but I would repurchase the mist in a heartbeat, and that is saying something.
