Is This The Ultimate Lippie For Lazy Girls?by Team Yoyokulala
Welcome to KULALA Beauty Club, where YOU our dear readers help us suss out the best in the beautysphere. This week, we have Eileen (@loudhailer) and her review of Fresh’s cult-favourite Sugar Tulip Tinted Lip Treatment and Sugar Lip Treatment Sunscreen. Eileen took it on her trip to Hokkaido in the winter just to be super sure!
I was very excited when I receive the Fresh Sugar Lip treatment balms as I knew they would be perfect for my Hokkaido trip. Basically, I am a very lazy person when it comes to beauty regimens. I am always on a lookout for the easiest beauty and skincare products, best if it’s an all-in-one kind of product. So, when I saw that one of the Sugar Lip Treatments was actually coloured, I was pretty over the moon as this means it’s a lip balm and lipstick all in one! On days when I felt like putting on other lip colours, I just applied the transparent one as a base. Even my boyfriend used the transparent one!
Given the name of the lip balms, I was expecting them to be very sticky, but to my surprise, Fresh’s Sugar Lip Treatments went on pretty smoothly and not as sticky as I expected them to be. Also, with the extreme weather in Hokkaido (it was around -15 to -20 degrees celsius), I was pretty amazed that it managed to prevent my lips from cracking despite applying it only once a day. Remember: I am a very lazy person. Though my usual lips are not very dry to begin with, the crazy weather in Hokkaido nearly cracked my cheeks and skin despite all the moisturising, so I was really surprised that my lips were not affected at all.
I will definitely bring these two lip balms along with me to all my future cold weather trips. The tinted balm really did save me a lot of time and trouble because all I had to do was apply it and that settled my lips for photos as well! I can pack lighter without having to lug tons of lip balms and lipsticks for the trips!
