We Finally Found Colour Correcting Pens That Actually Do The Job

With so many subpar ones out there, colour correctors seem almost gimmicky – until these came along. Our reader Ashley gives the low-down.

Welcome to KULALA Beauty Club, where YOU our dear readers help us suss out the best in the beautysphere. This week, we have Ashley (@glowtoglow) and her review of Guerlain’s Colour Correcting Glow Concealer and Illuminator

Guerlain’s products are relatively new to me and I didn’t really know what to expect from these tubes of orange, green and pink. At a closer look, I realised that they were colour correctors. Orange for dark circles and spots, green for redness and pink for brightening.

The consistency of these concealers are rather thick, but it’s still pretty easy to blend. It feels comfortable, lightweight and has a slight powdery finish, which is actually really surprising. A little does go a long way, and it conceals pretty well, too.

Aside from that, the formula leaves a subtle glow on the skin. I really appreciate how the glitter bits are teeny-tiny, which keeps my skin from looking too tacky and leans it more towards a lit-from-within glow.

To fully test it out, I monitored it after a couple hours of wearing them and realised that it didn’t cake at all. The glow was still there and the product barely moved.

These will be put to good use, for sure, especially the orange shade which so effectively covered up my usually-hard-to-conceal dark eye circles! Plus, these fit right into makeup bags so easily without the inconvenience of a palette, which is crucial when travelling light.

Although these are pretty pricey, it’ll last you for a long time considering how little product you need for each application. If you’re considering a little something extra to spice up your makeup routine, give these Guerlain babies a go!
