This Shiny, Foil-Like Palette Will Leave You Swatching For Hours
Jaw-dropping packaging aside, the intensity of the colours in this palette might actually blow your mind. If you're a glitter and eyeshadow addict, you were warned.| June 11, 2018
Welcome to KULALA Beauty Club, where YOU our dear readers help us suss out the best in the beautysphere. This week, we have Fiona (@flky) who is all for versatility and loves to rock a bold eye and lip combo. She brings us her review of the Tarte Rainforest Of The Sea Foil Finger Paints Shadow. Read her last review here.
Ever since Tarte was made available in Singapore, I’ve been hooked on the brand, not only because they are a cruelty-free company with responsibly sourced ingredients, but also because their products just work really well. One of their blushes, the Amazonian Clay 12H Blush is the one product I hold dear to alongside their lip products and palettes.
Before we dive in, let’s talk about the packaging for the Tarte Rainforest of The Sea Foil Finger Paints Shadow Palette. It’s absolutely gorgeous. To me, it’s much more than just a palette. I love it on my dresser, in pictures and showing it off to the world because it’s that breathtaking.
This palette has a cream-based texture, so I used my trusty fingertips instead of a brush which helped for a smoother, pigmented and easy-to-blend application. The colours were bright, stunning and everything I’ve ever hoped for in a shimmer eyeshadow palette.
The Tarte Rainforest Of The Sea Foil Finger Paints Palette swatched on my arm. From left to right: Gold Coast, Sailor’s Delight, Sea Glass and Stargazes.
The pink and brown tones complemented each other very well and can be used to add warmth and dazzle for a summer look. But, if you’re looking to take it up a notch, the white, gold and silver are really great for contouring the eye and bringing more light and attention to the area. They are also really great as top coats on other eye and even lip looks. I’ll be using this very frequently from now on.
