The Ultra Smooth Eye Crayon You Didn’t Know Existed

Marc Jacobs makes eye crayons, too! If you're not ready for pop colour eyeshadows, our reader Priscilla thinks you should try these on for size.

Welcome to KULALA Beauty Club, where YOU our dear readers help us suss out the best in the beautysphere. This week, we have Priscilla (@prissyer) and her review of Marc Jacobs Beauty’s Highliner Gel Eye Crayon.

I was given ten shades to try from Marc Jacobs Beauty’s Highliner Gel Eye Crayon range and boy, do I love how easily it glides onto my skin. I’ll be honest – I had my reservations before testing it out. At the back of my mind, I thought it’d be like one of those pencils that smudge easily and aren’t long-lasting. But instead, I was so surprised when I started trying the colours out on my eyes. There was no fuss as the pencil glides so smoothly and stays on perfectly with no smudging, my number one concern when it comes to applying anything on my eyelids.

The variety of shades that Marc Jacobs has is perfect to play around with. From pink and blue to gold to brown, it is perfect for conveying different moods and even for festivals. You can go from a neutral look to a pop look. I have tried using the highliners on my eyelids, waterline and even on the arch of my brow as a highlighter and they work each time. The pencils are definitely a go, too, if you’re ready to try pop colours on your lids but don’t know how to do it with eyeshadows.

To sum up, the five pros I love about these highliners: rich, very pigmented, smudge-proof, great payoff and an incredible colour range!
