Instagrammable Nail Ideas You Can Recreate at Home
You may not always want to part with your money by getting your nails did at the salon. For the days when you don't, these designs will inspire your at home manicure sesh.| January 24, 2020
There’s something about getting my nails done that makes me feel like more of a woman. Perhaps, its the visual effect of elongated, slender fingers, the feeling of getting pampered, or the fact that you are a boss ass lady who can afford to treat yo self. Whatever the reason, the dead cells (yes, nails are a byproduct) on my fingers have an inflated effect on my being.
Over time, I realised it wasn’t just me living in a self-conceited bubble with my pretty nails. Others, too, took notice. Generous compliments came my way. Oh, and they also made great conversation starters! The world also projected my meticulously primed nails onto my character. With that level of self-care, I MUST have my shit together – an assumption that couldn’t be further from the truth but I’m not complaining.
Getting your nails done by a professional takes money, at times, far too more than what I’m willing to part with. As much as I would love to, getting monthly manicures isn’t always the most practical both in terms of time and cost. It’s then that I summon the little girl who grew up loving to paint not only my own nails but that of everyone else in the room.
Doing your own nails can be a whole lot of fun and incredibly therapeutic. With an endless trove of inspiration readily available on yes, Instagram, of course, you really don’t have an excuse not to at least attempt your own manicure. The sense of satisfaction and rights to brag about it after totally make the entire process absolutely worth the effort!
You don’t always have to wait for your next nail appointment for a fresh set of claws. Take your pick from the gallery and get painting!
