Dior’s Latest Lipstick Collection is Daringly Bold – And We’re In Love
Purple, blue, grey, pastel green – and that's just the tip of the iceberg. (Plus, see how you can experience the new Rouge Dior lipstick collection for yourself.)
| September 6, 2016Never underestimate the power of a good lipstick. You can be in a white t-shirt and jeans, but put on some lipstick – red never, never fails – and suddenly your look and attitude are transformed. All my fellow lipstick enthusiasts, you know what I mean.
But, of course, it isn’t just red that gives that womanly power. If you’re a fan of unconventional lip colours, Dior’s new Rouge Dior collection is the stuff of dreams. Purple, fuchsia, dark blue, grey, lavender, pastel yellow and green – this is Dior’s biggest and boldest lipstick collection yet. That rich, witchy, deep wine-red lip colour from Dior’s Fall/Winter 2016 show that you’ve been looking high and low for? It’s in the new collection as “Poison”. You’re welcome.
The best part? The new Rouge Dior lipsticks come in a variety of finishes – including matte. Yes, yes, yes. Dior has finally created matte lipsticks, and that includes cult-favourites like the 999. FINALLY. What’s interesting is that while the Rouge Dior Matte looks matte, it doesn’t feel dry or chalky at all. We don’t want to get too science-y, but that’s the hyaluronic acid and mango butter at work. The new Rouge Dior glides on so easily and quickly, and you only need one to two coats for a deep colour effect. I couldn’t stop staring at my lips in the mirror after putting on “Poison”.
Now that I’ve shared my Rouge Dior experience, it’s time to tell me yours. Tell me what your favourite new Rouge Dior shades are in the comments below. I want to know!
If you missed out on my Rouge Dior party, fret not because you’re invited to experience the all-new lipstick collection at Dior Beauty counters in Takashimaya (8-14 September) and Raffles City Robinsons (22-28 September). Try on a new look, chat with Dior’s beauty consultants and have a little fun at the special #IFeelGood photo booth. You’ll even get to personalise your favourite Rouge Dior shades (Takashimaya, 10-11 Sept; Raffles City, 24-25 Sept) so you’ll never mix it up with somebody else’s again.
