This Highlighter Will Have You Shining Bright Like a Diamond

Just as Rihanna crooned in her hit single Shine Bright Like a Diamond, you could do just that with the Too Faced Diamond Light Highlighter.

Welcome to KULALA Beauty Club, where YOU our dear readers help us suss out the best in the beautysphere. This week, Carina (@carinaeliane), who has a penchant for all things pretty and believes that looking good is the way to perking up on a bad day, reviews the Too Faced Diamond Light Highlighter in the shade Fancy Pink Diamond.

I’ve always been a huge fan of products from Too Faced from it’s smell-good eye shadow, primer and face mist. I love the element of fun that they add to each of their products which makes putting on makeup that much more enjoyable.

I love using highlighters! I feel that it makes my face look healthy and dewy so I was excited when KULALA Beauty Team sent me something from Too Faced! First of all, I was sold on the packaging. The Too Faced Diamond Highlighter packaging shaped like a jewellery box, although a little bulky for my liking, looks beautiful when placed on the vanity.

At first glance, I thought that the highlighter might look a little too glittery or shiny for me as I prefer highlighters that are on the sparkly-metallic side and with a smoother finish. But it turns out, I love it! It is not the overly glittery type of highlighter. The result is a very smooth and natural glow – perfect for daily use or for you guys who prefer a more toned down highlighter. Moreover, for me the shade is not too white yet not too peachy, it’s a perfect tone that matches with my skin colour.

It is also surprisingly wearable. As I toyed around more with the highlighter, I found that I could use it as a highlighter for the eye or even set the base of my eyeshadow (if you prefer some shine on the lid). I think this Too Faced Highlighter will be my new favourite. I feel like it made me look more dewy and gives off a natural, healthy glow that I like.
