5 Super Fresh Outfit Ideas To Consider
Just in case your brain is already in holiday mood, the women at Men's Fashion Week have done all the thinking for you.| January 25, 2017
Long weekends are both a blessing and a curse. It is some extra days off work, but because your brain just wants the weekend to come already, it ends up being all you think about. Well, that and what you’re going to have for lunch, because you’re marking off the checkpoints between you and that long weekend.
There are tips and tricks to making getting dressed in the morning easier, but if you’re looking for a straightforward cheat sheet which requires little to no muscle work on your end, it doesn’t get better than the street style circuit. And because Men’s Fashion Week just happened, the street style pool just got bigger. Here are five outfit ideas that you can take from the office to dinner – and to all the Lunar New Year house visits – without breaking a sweat.
There are three things to note from this – tucked in jacket, utilitarian pants and huge-ass earrings – but if your mind can only deal with one, remember the earrings. Earrings are back and they’re big. They’re ostentatious. They’re super shiny. Logo earrings are a subtle way to play around with logomania, though Gucci pineapples are pretty fun as well.
We can’t stop going on about going-out robes and it seems like we’re not alone. They’re the perfect outerwear for transition weather – especially with the crazy monsoon winds we’ve been having lately – and they make for such a dramatic walk. These ladies show two ways to go about styling it: t-shirts and jeans, or a full-on velvet jumpsuit. Again, note the logo t-shirt (available here) and utilitarian pants.
Utilitarian pants, AGAIN. If you’re bored with blue denims, consider these as your next favourite leg covers. They’re roguish with plenty of pockets to spare for all your bits and bobs. What’s not to love? Pair it with a t-shirt or sweater, or play with proportions and top it off with a cropped leather jacket.
It’s not just button-down shirts that go with suits. For lazy days, consider the t-shirt, but tie on a scarf to keep things polished and classy. It is très French and when it comes to girl suits, the French are never wrong.
