A Peek Into Exhibit’s Latest Collection, And How It’s Made
There's a lot more backstory that comes with the pieces you see in Exhibit's campaigns. If you were ever curious about how it all comes to life, you're in the right place.| May 13, 2019
You’ve seen it on the runway, on our Instagram feeds and ran your fingers through the fabric at Exhibit’s pop-ups. But behind all that, how is it really done?
I’ve been sworn to secrecy when it comes to new season launches, but from the selection of fabrics, to the countless trips to the tailor, and fitting for models, I’ve always been enchanted by how it all comes to life.
Of course, I can’t give you the entire walkthrough, but I’ll say this: there’s a lot more backstory than you think. For more than three months, it’s planning, conceptualising, drawing, and a ton of adjustments with the tailor. A sample is then drafted, models casted and fitted for the campaign, but all weeks before you catch wind of it.
As for the actual campaign, concepts and ideas must come together way before the actual shoot date. Think countless mood and inspiration boards, going through various edits to really pinpoint the one. After the entire campaign shoot, there’s still final adjustments made to the designs, post-production for images and videos, and planning for the big reveal on exhibitstore.co
