Attico Is The Next Street Style-Approved Label To Know

Robes, sequins, wrap dresses and mules galore – get acquainted with the rising label manned by two of Italy's biggest street style stars.
|

Fashion’s recent laid-back attitude veers in two directions: the jeans, sweats and hoodies on one side and the old-world bedroom satins, silks and velvets on the other side. Attico, founded by the formidable Italian street style double act Gilda Ambrosio and Giorgia Tordini, are spearheading the cause for the latter. Their threads are boudoir, glamorous yet confoundedly easy and chill. Extremely street style ready from collar to sole, of course. (They make shoes, too!)

For their second official presentation at Milan Fashion Week, the duo expand beyond the vocabulary of slinky silk-satin robes and duster coats. Pinstriped dresses with strong shoulders (a nod to one of the season’s biggest trends), metallic lamé, crescent embroidery, harlequin velvets and fully-sequined wrap dresses lead the pack. The compulsion to touch the clothing is real, you guys.

It is the embroidered cardigans however, worn ever so slightly off the shoulder, that surprised us the most. So dainty and sweet, but worn over absolutely nothing with that sliver of shoulder skin showing? It’s like a sugar with a bite.

A special shoutout goes to the little drawstring bags – in everything from rainbow sequins to embroidered silk – and statement mules, further evidence that the Attico girls have the whole street-meets-boudoir lounge aesthetic down to a T.

Feel a sudden urge to get yourself a robe dress after seeing all of the above? We don’t blame you. Attico’s Fall/Winter 2017 pieces won’t be out for months at least, but you can shop their exclusive collection with Net-a-Porter – well, what’s left of it – here. We’re saying yes to this, this and this.
