Backstage Access: Loewe Fall/Winter 2016
That infamous rubber band dress? Yeap, it's made entirely out of rubber bands.| May 14, 2016
You know us – we cannot sing enough praises for Jonathan Anderson’s Fall/Winter 2016 collection for Loewe. Seeing it move on the runway was one thing, getting up close and personal with the pieces was another. That now-infamous rubber band dress is made entirely out of rubber bands, for example. You can literally smell the rubber. And that “chainmail” dress? It’s basically an intricate web of metal rings. Then there are the accessories: little Loewe coin bracelets, the paperweight-heavy cat necklaces, chokers made out of rings, bag chains made out of a series of bag clips and bags exploding with raw-edged tweed. Among the pieces that garnered the most squeals at Loewe’s headquarters in Paris, however, were the cat and logo sweaters. So cute. Consider those added to our mental wish lists for fall.
