This May Be Bulgari’s Quirkiest Collection Yet
Serpents, stars and studs – we take a closer look at Bulgari's Fall '17 collection, first unveiled earlier at Milan Fashion Week. In collaboration with Bulgari.| July 7, 2017
It seems like Bulgari is determined to prove that it is so much more than a maker of ultra-luxe jewellery and from what we’re seeing, it’s working. We thought Bulgari was at its peak quirkiness and perkiness with the Spring/Summer 2017 collection, but Fall/Winter 2017 is here to prove us wrong. Colours are even brighter than they were in season’s past with bright red, orange and pink taking the reins.
Illuminated by very 80s neon installations, the bags looked more than ready to party when we first saw them at the Bulgari Hotel during Milan Fashion Week. I mean, the bags were on swings. You know it’s going to be a riot when there are neon lights and swings. Stars and studs join Bulgari’s iconic Serpenti and Diva emblems, putting in just a touch of rock ‘n’ roll to balance out the richness of the exotic skins.
Now, can we talk about those tiny-as-heck Serpenti bags? We don’t know about you but were are both living and dying for these nano bags. They can barely fit anything more than some cash and cards, but do we care? NO. But, if you must have a bag that is just large enough for your necessities, the mini Serpenti Vipers serve just as much cute as they do functionality – and even a bit of sass.
