There’s More Than Popcorn Poppin’ At Bulgari’s Pop-Up Store
Bright neon lights, golden ticket stubs and an ION Orchard exclusive collection you don't want to miss. In collaboration with Bulgari.| October 12, 2018
When the word cinema is mentioned, dark red curtains and plush velvet chairs strewn with popcorn immediately comes to mind. But at Bulgari’s cinema-themed pop-up, there was much more to offer than just another dimly lit hall and a large screen.
Inspired by Italian cinemas of the 1960s, the house transformed the space into an enchanting shopping playground, combining elements from both its heritage and the concept.
No cinema is complete without popcorn. Which is why the Roman house took the liberty to create display cases that look just like those happy popping machines, dressing them in pink and gold. The colours of the space were also exceedingly delightful, where orange, pink and gold came together to pair with the Hollywood-esque vanity table bulbs that lined the special doorways, shaped like the ones at their Via Condotti boutique in Rome.
But the real star of the pop-up is not the shiny gold painted ceramic popcorn or the neon-lit display walls. Exclusive to this very store are bags and jewellery that have been specially designed for this limited time event. How do they look like? They are Serpenti bags that have been given a different pop of colour and the cutest ice cream cone charm that dangles from the clasp. It comes in two shades, each one the opposite colour from another in blue and pink. It’s adorable and irresistible. To go with it are bracelets and necklaces with a simple clasp and Bulgari insignia. Simple, classic and understated.
Before it disappears by the end of this year on the 31st of December, make sure you pay them a visit and immerse yourself into this super fun space that will have you taking endless pictures of the collection and adorable ceramic popcorn boxes.
The Bulgari Pop (Up) Corn store will be available from now till the 31st of December on the first floor of ION Orchard.
