All My Fashion Week Looks – The #PFW Edition
Where I wore the comfiest navy blue dress, played farm girl for a day and had to battle a blanket of fallen leaves in crystal-embellished stilettos.| October 9, 2017
I always love Paris. The beauty of the architecture, the colour of the sky, the sweets and desserts and that Parisian je n’ais se quoi that seems to fill the air. Lucky for us, the weather was also on our side. Chilly, but not too chilly, which meant we could bust out the layers on some days and ditch them for slits, arms and legs on others.
This season, my colour palette consisted largely of cool greys, black, white and blues, though not without the occasional surprise: a pair of thigh-high orange patent boots, pants of red and pastel purple and a bold yellow stripe on an all-black dress.
There were a lot of flat shoes going on as well – I dig those quilted combat boots from Chanel so much – because, as you know, Paris traffic is quite awful and it gets worse during fashion week. Bad traffic means traffic jams, traffic jams means we have to go by foot to make it to shows on time and when you’re speed-walking, the height of your shoes make all the difference. Got to show up cool and composed, you see. Even those insane orange Louis Vuitton thigh-high boots came with a low heel. Very appropriate for strolling down Rue de Rivoli, don’t you think?
Scroll through the gallery for the looks that I wore to Paris Fashion Week and tell me which one is your favourite below. (There look I wore to Alexander McQueen isn’t up there, but you can see it on my Instagram.) Once again, thank you to all the street photographers/heroes for taking the time to snap these amazing photos!
