5 Ways To Click Refresh On Your Wardrobe

Ready for that long overdue wardrobe refresh? Don't need to call for back up, because we have all the help you need. In collaboration with Net-a-Porter.

We’ve all been at the point in our lives where we stare out our possibly filled wardrobes and realise to our sheer horror that we have absolutely nothing to wear. This shirt has served us well for two season, and this skirt, while pretty, has been one time too many. Luckily, with it being fashion week, inspiration is all around. New season, new me and all that, right?

A wardrobe refresh may sound daunting, but it’s not all that hard when you nail down the main categories in life that require you to be clothed. A frou frou event, the office, days when you absolutely refuse to do anything but you have to – we’ve got your back (literally) covered. Feet and eyes as well. If you feel that you’re ready and deserving of a wardrobe refresh, we’ve worked out a little guide and some suggestions to get you started.

Start with the universal basics: a white t-shirt, a vintage cut leather jacket, a well-made white shirt and black blazer and a pair of bootleg jeans. Then, you start adding the fun pieces. Some destroyed bell-bottom jeans, a two-tone satin robe, a slip dress that can be dressed up with pumps and down with sneakers, a Little Black Bag, for instance. You want statement pieces that are also surprisingly versatile. Finally – if there’s still space in your virtual and figurative cart – throw in a couple of sweaters from neutral to printed. These will be your best friends on days where your mind is a blank and you can’t tell your cigarette pants from your cropped flares. Ready? Let’s do some shopping.
