The Fendi Peekaboo: One Bag, Infinite Possibilities
With a plethora of straps to experiment with, Fendi's Peekaboo is the bag that keeps on giving. In collaboration with Fendi.| November 3, 2017
I am someone who gets bored quite easily. It is probably the reason why I own so many white t-shirts and jeans that look more or less the same unless you really go down to the details. I like my classics, but I also like variations of classics. Because of this habit of mine, the idea of instant customisation, to be able to adjust something according to how I feel on any given day, is appealing to me. If I’m not feeling how something looks today, I can change it.
Fendi’s Peekaboo is one of the new classics, but it doesn’t stay the way it is. You’ve got the different sizes. You’ve got the different colours, textures and materials. You’ve also got a whole range of straps in varying lengths.
On days you crave simplicity, go for the logo-printed Mini Strap You that you can tote around in your hand. (This print is a favourite of mine.) On days you crave functionality but still want that pop of detail, go for the longer Strap You in a quirky print. When it comes to size, the Peekaboo Mini gets my vote. It is not too big, not too small and roomy enough for the necessities and then some more.
On a rare off day at the most recent Milan Fashion Week, I took the Peekaboo Mini and various Strap Yous for a spin around Milan: tea at my favourite pasticceria, sightseeing at the Duomo and kicking back at a garden in the middle of the city. I’m just realising this, but it is pretty cool how the bag fits the mood just with the changing of straps, don’t you think? See my moments from my day out with the Peekaboo above.
