A Fool-Proof Method To Getting Dressed in 10 Minutes
Ever had one of those "I have NOTHING to wear" mornings? Yeah, I feel you.
| August 15, 2016After months of what seems like non-stop flying, I finally found the time to head back home to Macau. They say home is where the heart is, and while I love my second home, nothing beats the real deal. (FYI: For those of you who don’t know, I am originally from Macau but am currently based in Singapore.)
Every time I come back to visit, I will always make it a point to drive down to my father’s flower farm. Doesn’t it look like a dream? It even has a pastel pink windmill to complete the picture. Trust me when I say that it is impossible to not feel happy and refreshed when you’re there. It is very similar to that feel-good, fuss-free feeling that inspired Exhibit’s Resort 2016 collection.
Similarly, I wanted pieces that you could not only take everywhere – to a farm, for example – but also match with almost anything in your wardrobe. Minimal, well-tailored and comfortable pieces that have just that pop of detail. That, I think, is really the trick to getting dressed quickly in the mornings when you’re rushing out of the house. I mean, I paired that white maxi dress from Exhibit with an actual pair of farmer’s boots. I think it actually looks…pretty cool, no? Of course, if you’re a last minute dresser, make sure you also have a good store of easy-breezy shoes like white sneakers and slip-ons – or, you know, rubber boots – that you can just put on and run out in.
(Psst, we finally got Facebook. Like us over here, maybe?)
