On the fashion front, the lack of minority representation is a real problem. Be it brands helmed by black designers, models on the runway or content creators in the social media space, melanin blessed women have remained in the shadows both online and off for far, far too long. It’s time these ladies got their time in the spotlight and the visibility that they have long deserved.
If you’ve done your part by supporting black-owned businesses, donating to the Black Lives Matters causes, you go gurl! Now here’s another base we all have to cover – Instagram. It really only takes a few clicks of the mouse to level the playing field! You can start with this lineup of some of our favourite ladies on the ‘gram.
