Jimmy Choo Reimagines What Your Apartment Should Look Like

A touch of pastel, mod sixties – plus stilettos, boots and little bags stuffed at every nook and cranny possible, of course.
|

Can a girl ever have too many shoes? That’s a straight-up “no” on the rocks, thank you very much. In fact, we think it might be the reason behind Jimmy Choo’s supersized collection for the coming fall season. We didn’t count, but we’ll bet our hats that there were nearly twice as many shoes and accessories.

Where last season was a tribute to spring and the girl who lives for it, this season seems to say, “Zou bisou bisou”. As in Megan “Zou Bisou Bisou” Draper and her entire Mad Men cohort. The presentation itself – a surreal apartment of orange, green, blue and pink – was the stuff of vintage mod era dreams.

But it wasn’t just go-go boots, though. Oh, the spread was plentiful. Leopard, metallic, fringe, rhinestones, velvet, patent, satin and Wonder Woman-esque star cut-outs – just try taking your pick. You probably won’t be able to decide. Shoes and accessories were scattered all over shelves, vinyl record players, bathtubs, vanities, woven chairs, as though saying that the girl who lives here doesn’t have a care in the world. Except for shoes, we think. Carrie Bradshaw, is datchu?
