After months on end of discussing wardrobe essentials (what a bore) we’re finally beginning to dream a little again. With Miss Rona reining in on her world tour, there’s a possibility that summer might just be a thing again. Fingers crossed. Our sweatpants have served us well but we’re ready to quite literally step out of the comfort zone we’ve been cocooned in the past year.

Remember when clothes were fun? The exuberant bright hues! The stuff that adds a pep to your step! The outfits that screamed personality! Ah, the good ‘ol days.

Whether it’s the summer that finally happens or another season of playing pretend (depending which part of the world you’re from), remember: summer is as much of a state of mind as it is taking an actual vacation. Even if you’re spending another summer at home, playing pretend till the borders open again is a far more appealing prospect than wallowing in misery.
