Double Up on the Good Vibes With This Champagne Sage Cocktail Recipe
Cheers, drink to that.| November 16, 2020
2020 has shaped up to be quite the year. Miss Rona’s global rampage, Black Lives Matter protests, Kobe Bryant’s death, raging fires in various parts of the world. It’s been a real sh** show.
But as the hap-happiest season of all approaches, even if all you have to show for the year is the unmistakable bond you have forged with your couch, there’s plenty to raise the glass to. For one, if you’re reading this, you’ve survived the brutal past couple of months. Two, a new year spells hope for the better – we’re keeping our fingers and toes crossed for a coronavirus vaccine. Whether you’re closing the year off with intimate gatherings or Zoom soirées (as we do these days), it’s time to drink champagne and dance on the table.
To double up on the good vibes, here’s a quick three-minute bubbly cocktail recipe courtesy of Alicia Keys, the queen of soul care herself. Caramelised sage leaves tossed into a flute of champagne – we might’ve been skeptical but the unlikely combination is an absolute delight to savour. No doubt, we could also use all the help we can get to get into the festive cheer given just the year we’ve had. Chin-chin, to better things ahead!
