The Best (And Only The BEST) Beauty Spots In London

Because when there isn't a Sephora in sight, a girl has to make do. Shloka a.k.a our resident London correspondent is back with her top beauty havens in the city.

Introducing the latest contributor to join YOYOKULALA.com – the London-based Shloka Narang (@thesilksneaker)! Since we’re in London for our first-ever London Fashion Week, we got her to list some of her favourite beauty shopping spots in the city – because there’s more to the world than Sephora. Don’t forget to check out more of Shloka at her website, The Silk Sneaker!

There is something so satisfying about discovering a brand new beauty product. Whether it’s an amazing new night cream to keep your skin soft during the winter, or a lip color you can’t wait to wear all season long, beauty purchases are the small things that make big differences in our daily routines! So where do you find them? Every city has its hidden spots and London has no lack of them!

What’s wonderful about each of these spots is that they have so much more to offer than your run-of-the-mill brands. This way, there really is something for everyone, no matter what you’re looking for. I, for one, can say that I have found at least one product that has become a must-have that was discovered in all of these places! Have you been to any of these beauty spots in London? What are your favorite beauty spots in your city?

Space NK

With stores all over London, and a flagship in Oxford Circus, Space NK is a must-visit beauty spot. Filled with makeup from brands that you love like Nars and Diptyque, as well as brands that you may not be super familiar with, Space NK has everything for hair, bath, body, and face! I love that they even have a little section for the small things that make a big difference, like hair ties, beauty blenders, and other fun gadgets! They also have special in-store events with beauty tutorials with experts from all the brands. My favourite Space NK find is the By Terry Hyaluronic Hydra Powder.

Liberty of London

Liberty is one of my favorite department stores in London. The Liberty collection is always a little bit more special, filled with items that you may not find anywhere else in London. Their beauty department is huge, filled with brands that you love and know as well as the ones you’re waiting to find. Plus, Liberty almost always has the special releases from brands that you will not find anywhere else! Definitely, a must-visit in London. As for Liberty, my favourite find is the Votary Hydrating Body Oil.

John Bell & Croydon

John Bell & Croydon is one of the oldest pharmacies in London. Located in Marylebone, this is not your average pharmacy! John Bell & Croydon has a dedicated beauty section full of international and local products. They have a huge collection of lotions and potions that are sure to suit everyone’s needs. Every lotion I have ever tried and loved has been from here! They also have a wide range of nail products that have seriously elevated my manicure game! The Jane Iredale Dream Tint gets my cart space when I’m in this secret beauty spot.

Covent Garden

Although Covent Garden is known for being a massive tourist spot in London, it is actually the beauty quarter of London. What’s lovely about the main square and Seven Dials is that a lot of beauty brands have stand alone stores selling exclusive products right here! With a much wider selection of all your favorites, it’s a must-see beauty spot for any makeup junkie! When I’m here, I like to shop at Bare Minerals. The Well Rested Face and Eye Brightener is a go-to.
