The Rose Hermès Is the Silkiest Blush We’ve Tried So Far

Think the in-between of a cream and powder blush that lends your cheeks a subtle rosy wash and your complexion a radiant shine. Three words: take our money.

Launches in the beauty industry are a dime a dozen. There’s not much that demands our attention in the way that news from the house of Hermès does. Last year, the inagurual Rouge Hermès lineup of lipsticks was an introduction to the Hermès Beauty universe. Enter the next chapter: Rose Hermès – a collection of eight blushes, two application brushes (one for the everyday and another for travel), a leather blush case, and three pink lip tints.

“Rose Hermçs initiates a subtle unveiling of the complexion, a natural next step in the expression of beauty according to Hermès,” revealed the maison’s artistic director Pierre-Alexis Dumas. Housed within a refillable circular disc, the blushes, reminiscent of the maison’s luxurious silk scarves, feel just as buttery smooth. When applied onto the cheeks, the formula glides on just as silk does against the skin to give it a subtle wash of a rosy glow. Think the perfect in-between of a cream and powder blush that delivers just the right amount of radiance. The lip tints on the other hand boast a smooth, supple finish characteristic of Hermès’s lineup of leather goods.

With a fairly extensive range of eight blush shades to offer, finding a match in the Rose Hermès range is a fuss-free affair. Take your pick from colours that range from Rose Poivré (an Asia exclusive) the maison describes as “the pink of a Persian night enveloped in spices, vibrant yet discreet, soft, and elegant” to Rose Apricot, an ” orange pink, like a velvety apricot in a beam of sunlight, irresistible light,” and the handful in-between.

The blushes transcend makeup not only in its unreal finish that’s unlike anything we’ve tried, the hues themselves also trace back to the maison’s history. Each colour, in fact, finds its origin from the maison’s objects of the past. At Hermès Beauty, it’s more than just face value. The attention to detail and craftsmanship of its formula speak to the maison’s unparalleled quality and unmatched design acumen.

At S$115 a pop, it might be a pretty penny to part with but you won’t look back in regret. You can take our word for it.

The Rose Hermès range is now available on Hermès counters at Liat Towers, Marina Bay Sands, Takashimaya Department Store and online at Hermes.com.
