Try Desk: The Natural Regenerating Cleanser Hollywood A-Listers Swear By

Anyone who uses Tata Harper dishes endless praise about its natural skincare range. We find out if the brand's Regenerating Cleanser is anything to sing about.

In the realm of natural skincare, Tata Harper is the equivalent of a fairy godmother. If you’ve dipped your toes into the natural beauty industry, Harper’s eponymous skincare and beauty line needs no introduction. For the unacquainted, Tata Harper is an eminent name in the clean beauty sector. In the business for a decade now, Tata Harper’s commitment to green beauty long goes way back to 2010 when it was fairly uncharted territory in the beauty lexicon.

Operating from a sprawling 1,200-acre property in the Champlain Valley in Vermont, Tata Harper’s all-natural ingredients are grown directly in its backyard, quite literally taking produce from farm-to-face. Over the years, Tata Harper has amassed legions of fans including Hollywood A-listers like Jourdan Dunn and January Jones who swear by its skincare. Our home gurl Arissa Cheo, too, is fan of the brand’s cleanser.

My search for a natural cleanser on Sephora led me to Tata Harper’s Regenerating Cleanser. It’s a pretty penny to part with for a cleanser but the stellar internet reviews and my desperation to salvage my broken out skin convinced me to hit add to cart. When it arrived at my doorstep, I was greeted by the brand’s signature green packaging and caught off guard by how heavy it was for a 125ml bottle of cleanser. Prior to purchasing, I was unaware that Tata Harper’s cleansers came packaged in a very luxurious glass dispenser – in part of their commitment to saving our dear mother earth.

Just going off of the packaging, I felt like I had already gotten half my money’s worth. Next, followed the actual test to determine if the cleanser did the job. Unlike your stereotypical cleanser, Tata Harper’s Regenerating Cleanser is meant to be applied on dry skin. A pale orange creamy, citrus-scented formula with tiny, fine granules (apricot microspheres), the cleanser glides smoothly onto the skin.

As per its recommended usage, I used the cleanser in the morning and at night. You’d think that using a cleanser twice a day might be an overkill but the Regenerating Cleanser nourished my skin rather than strip it down. Made entirely from natural ingredients – 80 percent of which are organic – the gentle yet effective formula does an impressive job at buffing out the skin for a smoother, more radiant complexion.

Did I get the other half of my money’s worth? 100 percent.
