The basic white tee. The LBD. The blue jeans. The tailored suit. The button ups. There’s no denying that these are the building blocks of any wardrobe. The basics that swoop in to save the day on those mornings when you just don’t know what to wear. You can’t go wrong with basics.

It’s around this time of the year that we take stock of our wardrobe essentials to take us through the remaining months. Typically, this would mean repurchasing the same Uniqlo U white t-shirt for the 234894537th time or hunting down a carbon copy of Levis’ jeans you already own but are too washed out from the wear. But perhaps, it’s the effect of coming out of quarantine and embracing real clothes again.

The rudimentary plain ‘ol basics don’t quite cut it anymore. What we’re saying is basics don’t have to boring.
